Door Dasher (DD)

May try to exit the kennel the moment you open the kennel door. They may push their nose into the door and try to force it open. They may not wait for you to secure them and could escape.

Jump Greeter (JMP)

Please encourage respect of people’s personal boundaries or property when handling this animal.

Shy (SHY)

May be timid and will need extra time gaining confidence to feel comfortable with their surroundings.

Sensitive to Barriers (STB)

While standing at a kennel wall, fence line or any other form of barrier, may be reactive (e.g. barking; jumping; blind frenzy on self, person, animal, other animal, or object) if they hear or see another animal or person.

Hard to Re-Kennel (H2RK)

When trying to place back into its kennel he/she may become difficult to handle and resist going back into the kennel.

Low-Intensity Exercise (LIEX)

Needs lower levels of activity. Short, calm walks are recommended with little to no running, jumping and active playing.
